VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers are an invaluable resource for the Library. People of all ages and walks of life can volunteer.  To apply, please call (304)473-4219 and ask to speak with Rachel Staud, our Volunteer Coordinator and Children’s Librarian.

Volunteering at the library takes the form of volunteering a set amount of time on a regular schedule for tasks such as reshelving materials, creating handouts, creating displays or other routine tasks. We generally are looking for dedicated individuals who can come in on a long term basis rather than people needing a small amount of hours for community service as training takes time.

Run an Event

Another way of volunteering at the Library is if you have a skill or interest that you think others might enjoy or want to learn. Share it with us at the Library by hosting a regularly or semi-regularly meeting group or club at the Library on a topic near-and-dear to your heart. Build experiences you can’t find elsewhere. Whether it’s a one-time program or a weekly get-together, let us know and we’ll try to make it happen!

Display Your Collection

Have a collection you’re proud of? Do you think your fellow community members would enjoy seeing it? We’ve got a display case and would be happy to share what makes you happy. Ask at the circulation desk for details.
