VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Your Time

Volunteers are an invaluable resource for the Library. People of all ages and walks of life can volunteer.
Please see our page on the Buckhannon Volunteer Center website for additional details and how to apply.

Volunteering at the library can take the form of volunteering a set amount of time on a regular schedule for tasks such as reshelving materials, creating handouts, creating displays or other routine tasks. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can come in on a long term basis. Please contact the Library if you are interested at (304)473-4219.

Run an Event

Another way of volunteering at the Library is if you have a skill or interest that you think others might enjoy or want to learn. Share it with us at the Library by hosting a regularly or semi-regularly meeting group or club at the Library on a topic near-and-dear to your heart. Build experiences you can’t find elsewhere. Whether it’s a one-time program or a weekly get-together, let us know and we’ll try to make it happen!

Display Your Collection

Have a collection you’re proud of? Do you think your fellow community members would enjoy seeing it? We’ve got a display case and would be happy to share what makes you happy. Ask at the circulation desk for details.
