Part-Time Circulation Clerk

Hours of Work: 28 hours/week, must have availability and flexibility in the daytime, evenings and a regular weekend rotation. Compensation is $9.75 an hour, no benefits are included in this position.

Primary Function: Performs a variety of library circulation and clerical procedures with a heavy concentration of public contact. 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, etc. include:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  3. Ability to work set day, night and weekend shifts as required
  4. Ability to work independently
  5. Strong customer service skills
  6. Enjoys working with the public of all ages
  7. Attention to detail
  8. Written and verbal communication skills
  9. Flexibility to deal with multiple unexpected tasks and patrons simultaneously
  10. Ability to operate electronic equipment including computers, printers, copiers, etc.
  11. Able to regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
  12. Other duties as assigned by supervisors in assigned work area
